How to open a file in vscode from terminal

Install code command on mac

Open VCode
press CMD + SHIFT + P
type 'shell command' 
select 'Install code command in path'
navigate to any project from the terminal and type 'code .'

Vs code open folder from terminal in same window

code -r .

Code command line options

code -r <path-to-working-directory>

Open vs code from terminal

Launch VS Code.
Open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P) and type 'shell command' to find the Shell Command: Install 'code' command in PATH command.
Restart the terminal
Navigate to project folder in terminal, 
Type code . press enter
